Foreign tourists willing to visit Nagaland, Manipur & Mizoram do not require special entry permits w.e.f. 01-01-2011
Tourists from abroad as well as Indians willing to visit Arunachal Pradesh need to obtain special entry permits for every single person due to the sensitive location of this region bordering three foreign countries - Bhutan, China and Myanmar. Indian travellers intending to visit Nagaland should also acquire Inner Line Permits for every single person due to administrative rules laid by the Govt.
Arunachal Pradesh
Inner Line Permit for Indian Tourists
For the above, Inner Line Permits (ILPs) are issued for Indian tourists by the Secretary (Political), Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar; Resident Commissioner's Office / Liaison Offices and Deputy Commissioner & Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Districts for staying in Arunachal Pradesh for maximum of 10 days. We can obtain ILPs on behalf of our Indian guests after receiving the confirmation e-mail along with advance tour booking payment.
Documents Required:
In order to get an ILP issued for every single person, we need scanned or photocopies of Valid Driving License / Election Photo Identity Card / Permanent Residence Certificate / Aadhar Card / Ration Card / Indian Passport / Income Tax Registration Card for identity and address proof along with 4 copies of passport size photographs as well.
Time of Submission:
The Indian tourists willing to visit Arunachal Pradesh should send the scanned or photocopies of valid documents and passport sized photos at least 7 days before the date of entry in Arunachal Pradesh.
Protected Area Permit for Foreign Tourists
For the tourists from abroad, Protected Area Permits (PAP) are issued for a maximum period of 30 days. Generally, the permits are issued for tourists not less than 2 persons. Solo travellers can mail us at arkayaholidays@gmail.com for PAP related queries. Applications should be made giving details like full name, complete address, profession, place of birth and passport number with its issuing authority & the expiry date, proposed duration of stay and the purpose of visit as well. We can obtain PAP on behalf of our foreign guests after receiving the confirmation e-mail along with payment of advance tour booking amount.

Please send us scanned / photocopies of your passport & valid India visa for identity and address proof along with 4 copies of passport size photographs as well stating detailed information about every single person including full name, complete residential address, profession, place of birth, proposed duration of stay and the purpose of visit etc.

No Need of Restricted Area Permit for Foreign Tourists
For the tourists from abroad, Restricted Area Permits (PAP) are not required to enter and travel in Nagaland w.e.f 01-01-2011. Yet, overseas tourists are required to inform the Local Police Stations of their places of overnight stay and submit their valid Passport and India Tourist Visa for identity & address proof of every single person only for necessary information.
Place & Time of Submission:
Foreign tourists staying overnight in Nagaland should submit the photocopies of valid documents at the local Police Stations before check-in the hotel.
